Sines hosts Engineering Meeting in Alentejo

The Ordem dos Engenheiros Região Sul (OERS), in collaboration with the district delegations of Beja, Évora, Portalegre, and the Sines hub, will host the Engineering Meeting in Alentejo on October 10 and 11.

The program begins on Saturday with a technical visit to the Sines Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal, an infrastructure operated by REN Atlântico that is strategic to the national energy system. Following this, participants will visit the Roman Ruins of Miróbriga in Santiago do Cacém to explore the region's historical and urban heritage.

The first day concludes in Porto Covo with an official dinner featuring musical performances by fado singer Joana Luz and the awards ceremony for the ‘Engineering in Alentejo’ photography contest. The second day focuses on outdoor activities along the Alentejo coast, including a 10-kilometer hike on the Fisherman's Trail and a motorized tour between Porto Covo and Zambujeira do Mar.
