Sines hosts international film festival and nature tourism events
The city of Sines is hosting the 14th edition of the Finisterra Portugal Film Art & Tourism Festival from November 4 to 6. The event features 128 films from 25 countries, including 40 Portuguese productions, 17 from South Africa, and 13 from Brazil. The festival aims to promote the Alentejo region by connecting the audiovisual industry with tourism.
A highlight of the festival is a career award ceremony for Portuguese actor Joaquim de Almeida, scheduled for November 6 at the Sines Arts Center. The festival's jury consists of 27 members from 19 different countries.
Additionally, the Municipality of Sines recently participated in the 3rd ObservaLagunas Nature and Tourism Fair held on October 17 and 18 at the Santo André and Sancha Lagoons Natural Reserve. The fair focused on nature tourism and biodiversity conservation, featuring educational activities such as lectures on environmental issues within the Southwest Alentejo Natural Park.
