Sines mayor reports successful Tasquinhas 2026 festival

Álvaro Beijinha, president of the municipal chamber of Sines, said the Tasquinhas Sines 2026 event was "clearly positive" despite early logistical setbacks caused by a contractor’s failure to meet specifications. The two‑week festival ran from 17 July to 2 August along Avenida Vasco da Gama, featuring 20 local exhibitors and a daily programme of musical entertainment.

Beijinha highlighted strong feedback from participants, describing the edition as possibly the best ever, and announced plans to expand the Tasquinhas to other parts of the city and to Porto Covo in 2027.
