Air quality across Malaysia and Singapore has deteriorated due to haze, with numerous areas recording unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) and Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) levels.

In Malaysia, 41 locations in the peninsula have recorded unhealthy API readings. Johan Setia in Selangor reported the highest reading at 187. Other heavily affected areas include Cheras and Batu Muda in Kuala Lumpur, Nilai and Seremban in Negeri Sembilan, and various locations in Selangor, Perak, and Penang. Conversely, air quality in Sarawak has improved, with locations like Kuching recording moderate levels.

In Singapore, air quality has also entered the unhealthy range, with the PSI reaching levels as high as 120 in certain regions. The haze is attributed to forest and peatland fires, with cross-border smoke from Indonesia contributing to the regional decline in air quality.
