Singapore air quality remains moderate amid regional haze

Singapore's air quality remained in the Moderate range on 25 September 2026, with the 24-hour Pollutant Standards Index (PSI) recorded between 61 and 79. One-hour PM2.5 concentration readings were within the normal band, ranging from 17 to 35 µg/m3.

Smoke plumes from fires in parts of Kalimantan and southern Sumatra have been observed due to persistent dry weather in those regions. While dry conditions are expected to continue in southeastern Sumatra and southern Kalimantan, showers are forecast for Singapore and the surrounding area on 26 September. These showers may help reduce the risk of smoke haze affecting the region.

The National Environment Agency advises individuals to monitor one-hour PM2.5 readings for immediate outdoor activities and use the 24-hour PSI forecast for planning future activities, particularly for those sensitive to haze.
