Singapore Airlines operates world's longest nonstop passenger flights

Singapore Airlines currently operates the world’s longest scheduled nonstop passenger service, connecting New York's JFK airport to Singapore Changi. The route covers approximately 9,537 miles and takes an average of 18 hours and 40 minutes. The airline’s service from Newark to Singapore follows closely as the second-longest route.

Other notable long-haul routes include Qatar Airways’ service from Auckland to Doha and Qantas’ flight from London Heathrow to Perth.

In terms of technical milestones, an Airbus A350-1000ULR recently completed a development flight test from Melbourne to Toulouse, staying airborne for over 24 hours and 24 minutes. This test was part of the development for Qantas’ Project Sunrise, though it was not a commercial passenger service.
