Singapore and Oracle lead developments in agentic AI governance and applications

Singapore is advancing its artificial intelligence capabilities, with Acting Minister for Manpower Jasmin Lau noting the presence of nearly 100 AI Centres of Excellence in the country. To manage the transition from pilot programs to daily operations, the Infocomm Media Development Authority has updated its Model AI Governance Framework for Agentic AI. This updated framework includes over ten real-world case studies to help organizations manage risks such as erroneous or unauthorized actions, data breaches, and system disruptions.

In the corporate sector, Oracle is integrating agentic AI into its enterprise suites. At the Oracle AI World event, the company showcased 25 Claw-powered agentic applications across its Fusion ERP, HCM, SCM, and CX platforms. These systems are designed to act as a ‘system of outcomes,’ where AI agents plan and execute tasks within established business rules and permissions.

Additionally, NetSuite has launched SuiteExpress, an AI-driven service aimed at accelerating the implementation of its ERP software. By utilizing connected knowledge bases that ingest customer-specific data, NetSuite claims it can reduce implementation timelines to weeks or even days.
