Singapore’s digital economy reached S$144.1 billion in 2025, accounting for 19.3 per cent of the nation’s gross domestic product, according to a report by the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
The tech workforce grew by 3.8 per cent to 222,200 professionals. Tech employment in these non-tech industries rose 5.3 per cent year-on-year to 130,900.
Fastest-growing occupations included artificial intelligence, data, and cybersecurity. The median monthly wage for tech roles was S$8,000, which is notably higher than the overall resident median monthly wage of S$5,000.
