Singapore emerges as IP hub for Chinese expansion into Southeast Asia
Industry professionals and organizations are focusing on intellectual property (IP) as a strategic tool for Chinese enterprises expanding into Southeast Asian markets. At a recent networking event in Beijing’s ZPark, PINTAS and various partners discussed using Singapore as a central IP hub to manage protection, commercialization, and profit allocation for companies entering the region.
Additionally, the 15th China Intellectual Property Annual Conference (CIPAC) is scheduled for September 8–9, 2026, at the Beijing National Convention Center. CIPAC serves as an international platform for government agencies, enterprises, and universities to discuss emerging trends in patents, trademarks, and the intersection of IP with technology, finance, and global trade.
