Singapore Grand Prix 2026 prepares for F1 Sprint and haze risks

The 2026 Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix is scheduled to take place from October 9 to 11 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. The event will feature a debut ‘F1 Sprint’ race and musical performances by artists including Lana Del Rey, The Killers, and JJ Lin.

Organizers are currently developing emergency contingency plans due to the potential threat of transboundary haze from Sumatra and Kalimantan. The Singapore Grand Prix organizers and the Haze Task Force are collaborating to monitor air quality via the Pollutant Standards Index (PSI). If haze impacts visibility, public health, or operations, officials will coordinate to make decisions regarding the event's maintenance.

For spectators, accommodation near Marina Bay is expected to see higher prices. Alternatives such as Bugis, Chinatown, or Orchard are recommended for easier access to MRT stations and more cost-effective lodging.
