Singapore Grand Prix security breach leads to criminal trespass charges

An Indian national, 39-year-old Daver Arish Adil, has been charged with two counts of criminal trespass following a security breach at the Singapore Grand Prix. The incidents allegedly occurred on October 9 at the Marina Bay street circuit.

According to court documents, Adil purportedly gained access to a ticketed area at Gate 2 on Temasek Avenue without a valid ticket. He is also accused of entering ‘the wharf’ on Raffles Boulevard, a restricted zone reserved exclusively for race staff and performers.

A second man, aged 35, was also detained in connection with the security breach, though investigations regarding his involvement are ongoing. Under Singapore law, each count of criminal trespass carries a potential penalty of up to three months in prison, a fine of up to SGD 1,500, or both.
