Singapore marks 61st National Day with island-wide celebrations

Singapore is preparing to celebrate its 61st National Day with a programme of events across the city-state. The Music & Drama Company has released a new tribute album, Celebrating Singapore: Volume 3, offering modern arrangements of classic National Day songs. HeritageSG, in partnership with the Singapore Night Festival, will run the Light Together Bras Basah‑Bugis night‑time experience from 1 August to 5 September, featuring immersive light installations and digital storytelling along historic streets.

The Singapore Flyer is also joining the festivities. From 5 to 10 August it will host the Street Eats Under the Stars night market, a stamp‑card challenge, and a free live screening of the National Day Parade on 9 August. New family‑friendly offerings include a children’s menu at 165 Sky Dining and shared dining capsules for youngsters under seven, aimed at making the attraction more accessible to families.
