Singapore National Day Parade 2026 fireworks viewing spots revealed

Singapore's National Day Parade (NDP) on 9 August 2026 will feature a fireworks display launched from a floating platform in the Kallang Basin beside the National Stadium, a shift from the previous Marina Bay venue. The celebrations are themed “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!”. Smaller fireworks are expected to start around 7:30 p.m., with the main finale at approximately 8:10 p.m.

Public viewing locations highlighted include: • Stadium Riverside Walk (also known as the Kallang Wave Walkway) – the closest spot to the stadium, offering clear views of the fireworks and parade atmosphere. Nearest MRT: Stadium (CC6). • Lookout Deck at Kallang Basin – a popular waterfront deck with unobstructed views across the basin; families often spread picnic mats here. Nearest MRT: Nicoll Highway (CC5). • Kallang Riverside Park – situated where the Kallang and Rochor rivers meet, providing wide views of the stadium and skyline, plus facilities such as lawns, walking paths and public restrooms. Nearest MRTs: Lavender (EW11), Kallang (EW10), Stadium (CC6) or Nicoll Highway (CC5). • Tanjong Rhu Promenade – a waterfront promenade opposite the stadium offering sweeping basin views, favored for its spaciousness. Visitors are advised to arrive early, especially for family picnics, as these spots fill quickly.
