Singapore National Day Parade 2026 kicks off with themed show and first indoor drone display

Singapore will celebrate its 61st National Day on 9 August 2026 with a National Day Parade (NDP) at the National Stadium. The event, themed “Majulah Singapura, Go Beyond!”, will feature over 2,600 performers, 36 artistes and a first‑ever indoor drone light show billed as the largest indoor special‑effects presentation to date. The parade concludes with an F‑16 fly‑past and a fireworks display from 8:10 pm to 8:25 pm, with several free‑viewing spots around Kallang Basin and the stadium perimeter.

Rehearsals have highlighted the parade’s mascots, including BRAVE, August, Singa, Sharity Elephant, Captain Green, Nila and Becky Bunny, whose lively performances have attracted viral social‑media attention. Additional festivities include a special exhibition at the National Museum, a nationwide treasure‑hunt of 61 landmark sites, and free admission to certain activities for Singapore citizens and permanent residents.

The celebrations aim to showcase Singapore’s history, community spirit and future ambitions, inviting the public to participate in both traditional and innovative elements of the national event.
