Singapore Open upgraded to WTA 500 for 2026 Asian Swing

The 2026 tennis Asian Swing features a series of high-profile tournaments across Singapore, South Korea, and China. The WTA Singapore Open has been upgraded to a WTA 500 event and is scheduled to take place at the OCBC Arena from September 21 to September 27.

Mirra Andreeva serves as the top seed for the Singapore Open following the withdrawal of USA’s Jessica Pegula. Other top seeds include Amanda Anisimova, Alexandra Eala, and Elise Mertens. The tournament serves as a critical tune-up for the season-ending WTA 1000 events in Beijing and Wuhan.

The broader Asian swing includes the WTA 250 Korea Open in Seoul (September 21–27) and two ATP 250 events in China: the Chengdu Open and the Hangzhou Open, both running from September 23 to September 29.
