Singapore teenager arrested over Xinmin Secondary School bomb hoax

A 15-year-old girl has been arrested in connection with a bomb hoax at Xinmin Secondary School in Singapore. The incident occurred on the morning of August 13, when a note was reportedly found in a classroom, prompting the school to activate emergency evacuation procedures for students and staff.

Police conducted a thorough search of the premises and found no suspicious items. Investigations are ongoing regarding the communication of false information of a harmful thing. If convicted, the individual could face up to seven years in prison, a fine of up to S$50,000, or both.

School principal Tan Soon Hui stated that the safety and well-being of students and staff remain the school’s utmost priority and that the institution is working closely with the police on the investigation.
