Singapore Tourism Board launches new digital guides and Orchard Road redevelopment tender

The Singapore Tourism Board (STB) has initiated two major projects to bolster the nation's tourism and lifestyle sectors. In partnership with Alibaba’s location-based services platform, Amap, the STB has launched ‘Singapore Street Stars.’ This curated guide features 104 local recommendations across seven themes, such as ‘Photo-Perfect Spots’ and ‘Local Life, Real Finds,’ to assist Chinese visitors in discovering both iconic landmarks and hidden gems.

Simultaneously, the STB has launched a tender for the redevelopment of the 1.04-hectare site at 37 Emerald Hill, formerly the Singapore Chinese Girls’ School grounds. As part of the Orchard Road Rejuvenation Plan, the project seeks to create a mixed-use development featuring a new hotel concept and lifestyle experiences. The development aims to strengthen the Orchard Road precinct's position as a premier lifestyle destination and encourage longer visitor stays.
