Singapore workforce leads in AI adoption and responsible use
A recent ADP People at Work 2026 report shows that only 20 % of Singapore workers aged 18‑26 use AI daily, compared with 25 % of those aged 27‑39 and 23 % of workers aged 40‑54. Overall, 56 % of Singapore employees use AI multiple times a week and 23 % do so daily. Mid‑size firms (250‑999 employees) have the highest daily usage at 34 %, while small and large organisations each sit at 19 %.
Microsoft’s 2026 Work Trend Index finds Singapore among the world’s most active AI users: 66 % say AI enables work they could not have created a year ago, rising to 82 % for advanced users. Eighty‑eight percent feel responsible for the thinking behind AI use, and 52 % cite critical thinking as the most important skill. However, only 24 % report clear alignment from company leaders, creating a “Transformation Paradox,” and 48 % say they focus more on current goals than experimenting with new AI‑driven ways of working.
