Singareni and Hutti Gold Mines to explore joint venture

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has directed Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) officials to explore a joint venture with Karnataka’s Hutti Gold Mines. The proposed partnership aims to combine Hutti Gold Mines’ extensive experience in gold mining, processing, and refining with Singareni’s expertise in mineral exploration and mining operations.

During a visit to the Hutti and UTI gold mines in the Raichur district, Vikramarka inspected various production stages, including ore extraction and refining facilities. He instructed officials to develop an action plan covering gold exploration, the adoption of modern technologies, and human resource training.

The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that increasing domestic gold production is vital for India’s economic security and reducing reliance on imports. He noted that the collaboration could also drive economic growth and create new employment opportunities through advanced mining technologies.
