Singer Alezú passes away in Guadalajara

The independent music scene in Guadalajara is mourning the death of singer and songwriter Alezú, who passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at the age of 23.

Alezú was gaining recognition within the independent pop genre through her original compositions and live performances. Her musical catalog includes tracks such as ‘Caer (en ti)’, ‘Ciudad’, ‘Formas Extrañas de Querer’, ‘Ojos Miel’, ‘Si me ves’, and ‘Úsame’. Her most recent release, ‘A Tu Lado’, was published in January 2026.

As of September 3, the cause and circumstances of her death have not been publicly disclosed. Beyond her music career, she also operated a beauty services business located in Parque San Jacinto, Guadalajara.
