Singer Bao Anh returns to top Vpop charts

Vietnamese singer Bao Anh has seen a resurgence in her music career, with her ballad performances recently reaching the top of national charts. Known as the ‘queen of tears’ in Vpop, she rose to prominence following her appearance on the first season of The Voice Vietnam in 2012.

Bao Anh established her reputation through a series of successful emotional ballads between 2014 and 2017, including hits such as ‘Anh Muon Em Song Sao’ and ‘Trai Tim Em Cung Biet Dau,’ the latter of which has garnered over 150 million views on YouTube. In recent years, she has diversified her musical style to include dance and Latin genres.

In April 2024, the singer publicly revealed that she is a single mother to her daughter, Misumi. This personal milestone followed a brief hiatus from the entertainment industry after her early withdrawal from the program ‘Chi Dep Dap Gio Re Song’ in 2023.
