Following social media debates about his discipline, punctuality, and hesitation to comply with military requirements—such as hair cutting and limiting personal belongings—the artist issued an apology to his fans.

Erik explained that he was struggling to adapt to the entirely new environment, noting that the footage shown represented only the first few hours of his enlistment.
