Singer Fave criticizes Ugandan promoter over pay and treatment
Nigerian singer Fave has publicly criticized a Ugandan promoter following her recent performance at Thrones on September 2. The artist, whose real name is Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere, expressed dissatisfaction on social media, alleging she was paid significantly less than her worth and was treated poorly during her visit.
Fave clarified that her grievances were directed at the promoter and not the country of Uganda itself, stating she ignored the treatment due to her affection for the nation. Her comments sparked a debate among Ugandans regarding the relationship between international artists and local organizers.
Comedian Patrick Salvado responded to the singer, advising her against generalizing the entire country based on the actions of a few individuals. Salvado also noted that he had experienced his own difficulties in previous booking negotiations with the singer’s team.
