Brazilian singer Gretchen has undergone a hair transplant to treat alopecia, utilizing the Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) technique. The procedure involved shaving her head to allow for the removal of individual follicles from a donor area to be implanted in affected regions.

In an interview with Record TV's 'Domingo Espetacular,' Gretchen described the experience as a significant emotional milestone, noting that she felt a sense of empowerment after seeing her hair removed. She compared her experience to that of Jada Pinkett Smith, stating, “Never imagined I would feel as powerful as I feel now, bald.” She characterized the procedure as her first aesthetic intervention driven by medical necessity rather than purely cosmetic preference.
