Singer Halid Bešlić dies at age 72 in Sarajevo

Legendary singer Halid Bešlić has passed away at the age of 72 at the University Clinical Center in Sarajevo following a short and severe illness.

Colleagues and friends have shared reflections on his final days, noting his enduring connection to music. Longtime collaborator and lyricist Fahrudin Pecikoza recalled that even during his final moments, Bešlić continued to sing. Neighbors described him as a man who maintained simple daily rituals and remained approachable despite his immense popularity. Following his death, reports indicate his dog also died after struggling to cope with the loss of its owner.
