Singer Heino reveals successful heart surgery

German Schlager singer Heino has revealed that he underwent a heart operation in the summer of 2026 to prevent a potential heart attack. The 87-year-old singer disclosed that a myocardial scintigraphy was used to assess the blood supply to his heart muscle, a procedure he noted he might not have sought out on his own without medical advice.

Heino reported that the procedure was successful and that he feels fit and energetic. Despite the health setback, he expressed a strong desire to continue his career, noting that he has a management contract intended to last until he is 104 years old.
