Singer Hsu Hung-tao discusses solo career and family support

On the YouTube program “I Secretly Upgrade,” hosted by singer Amber Lin, former AcQUA Boy member Hsu Hung-tao shared his transition from group activities to a solo music career. Hsu, a student at UCLA, explained that his frequent travel between Taiwan and the United States made it difficult to participate fully in group promotions and choreography, often forcing the group to adjust their formations.

Hsu revealed that while his father supports his decision to start a company and pursue music, he has set strict financial boundaries, warning that the funds will run out if not managed carefully. His father likened a music career to a marathon, urging him to commit fully rather than taking a cautious approach.

Amber Lin, drawing from his own experience with the group Fahrenheit, empathized with the difficulties of balancing individual growth with group dynamics. Lin shared stories of the financial and physical challenges faced during his early career to provide perspective to the younger artist.
