Singer Ivy Yu holds first fan meeting after gaining 2 million followers

Rising singer Ivy Yu, often referred to as the ‘Taiwanese version of Jennie’, held her first fan meeting in Xinyi District following her official debut four months ago. Despite her rapid rise to popularity, which includes amassing 2 million followers, Yu addressed online criticism and false claims regarding her background.

Yu, who began dancing at age seven and appeared in a Jay Chou music video at age ten, expressed her desire to develop a unique musical style rather than strictly imitating her idols. She cited G-DRAGON as a major influence on her career. While she has received interest from South Korean agencies to become a trainee, she has chosen to focus on her development in her home region.

Looking forward, Yu aims to expand her career into acting and perform at large-scale music festivals, with the long-term goal of performing at the Taipei Arena.
