Jasmin Wagner retires from music career as Blümchen
Jasmin Wagner, widely known by her stage name Blümchen, has announced her retirement from the music industry. The 46-year-old singer performed her final major televised set during the ‘Schlagerboom’ show in Dortmund, hosted by Florian Silbereisen.
Wagner, who rose to fame in the 1990s with Eurodance hits such as ‘Herz an Herz’ and ‘Boomerang’, stated that her decision is a ‘well-considered’ move to prioritize her family. She expressed a desire to spend more time with her husband and their nearly four-year-old daughter.
The singer had previously planned a farewell concert in Hamburg for late 2025, but was forced to cancel it to care for her mother during a battle with cancer. Wagner noted that while her mother's condition has reached a stable state, the experience reinforced her decision to focus on her personal life.
