Singer Jeff Chang visits Taitung following typhoon-related concert cancellations

Singer Jeff Chang traveled to Taitung, Taiwan, to perform at the ‘2026 Chishang Autumn Harvest Rice Ear Art Festival.’ However, the three scheduled performances were canceled due to the impact of Typhoon Prapiroon.

Despite the cancellation, Chang expressed that he felt “regretful, but not disappointed,” noting that the opportunity to rehearse amidst the golden rice fields and mountain scenery was a precious experience. He had originally planned to perform a Taiwanese song, “Wrinkles Writing,” as a tribute to his mother, as well as a reunion performance of “Dear Child” with the Taoyuan Elementary School choir.

With the extra time provided by the cancellation, Chang spent the trip focusing on family, taking his mother to visit local landmarks such as Dapo Pond, the Granary Art Museum, and various local eateries to enjoy Hakka cuisine and regional specialties.
