Singer Kang Min-kyung shares experience with retaliatory driving trauma
Singer Kang Min-kyung revealed during a recent appearance on the YouTube channel ‘Yojung Jaehyung’ that she suffers from trauma caused by a retaliatory driving incident when she was twenty years old.
Kang explained that while driving in heavy rain, water from a puddle splashed onto a neighboring vehicle. Unable to apologize immediately due to the weather conditions, she was subsequently chased by the other driver all the way to her home. She described the experience as terrifying, noting that she had to drive in circles to avoid being confronted by the individual.
Retaliatory driving, which involves using a vehicle to threaten or harm others, can lead to serious legal consequences in South Korea, including charges of special intimidation or special assault. Experts note that such traumatic events can lead to symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), such as flashbacks, avoidance of certain situations, and heightened anxiety.
