Singer Kapa Cat discusses financial struggles and online companionship

Ugandan singer Catherine Tumusiime, known professionally as Kapa Cat, has revealed that she provides virtual companionship to strangers online to supplement her income. During an interview with NRG, she explained that her music career does not generate sufficient earnings to cover her living expenses, noting that many musicians currently face the challenge of working more while earning less.

Kapa Cat stated that she charges fees to provide company and attention to individuals online, many of whom she described as white strangers seeking connection. She clarified that these interactions are not transactional prostitution, though she acknowledged that she sometimes develops personal feelings for clients.

In addition to discussing her side jobs, the singer touched upon her personal life, noting that she is currently single after a recent relationship ended. She also mentioned a shift in her professional strategy, moving away from regular concert performances to focus on building diverse income streams within the music industry.
