Singer Karina begins recovery after vocal cord surgery

Venezuelan singer Karina has begun her recovery process following a successful emergency surgery in Caracas to remove a hemorrhagic polyp and a ligament injury from her vocal cords.

The 57-year-old artist, known for hits such as ‘A quién’ and ‘Desde mi ventana’, underwent the procedure under the care of otolaryngologist Nora Elena Hernández. Due to the nature of the injury, which involves a benign lesion caused by vocal strain, the singer is currently under strict vocal rest.

Karina shared updates via social media, noting that while she cannot sing for the time being, she is pursuing an integral recovery through physical exercise and specialized vocal exercises to restore her voice.
