Singer Listen Eliminated from Dangdut Academy Top 37 Group 3

Listen, a 22‑year‑old vocalist from Kendal in Central Java, was eliminated in the Top 37 Group 3 round of the Indonesian singing competition Dangdut Academy on Thursday night, 30 July 2026. She performed the duet "Racun Asmara" with fellow contestant Khinan of Surabaya, earning two standing ovations from the judges, and then sang the solo piece "Sang Pujangga", receiving a third standing ovation.

Judges praised her distinctive vocal tone but noted the need for greater breath control and power. Soimah likened her voice to a diesel engine that warms up slowly, while Dewi Perssik agreed with the assessment. Lesti Kejora highlighted her emotive stage presence. Despite these positives, competitors Diva (Kuansing), Razky (Pekanbaru), Idoy (Medan), Anggini (Majene), Khinan (Surabaya) and Rofia (Kuningan) were judged to have performed better, leading to her exit from the competition.

Previously, in the Top 42 round, Listen had not received any standing ovations, prompting similar critiques about her vocal stamina and technique.
