Singer Marie Rottrová completes dream house and garden in Prague

Czech singer Marie Rottrová has finished building a new home on a 713‑square‑metre plot in the Kolovraty district of Prague. The previous dilapidated building was demolished and replaced with a two‑storey house that includes a garage.

The interior was customised for her lifestyle, with an open‑plan ground floor that combines kitchen, dining and living areas, and a flexible layout that can be separated by sliding doors. The upper floor holds two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a study.

Outside, Rottrová and her husband Milan Říha have created a garden that mixes ornamental and utilitarian sections. It features trees, shrubs, vegetables, herbs and several rose varieties that reference her musical career, including one named after her former group Flamingo. The property also includes a pool, though the couple now prefers a natural pond for future plans.
