Singer Đăng Khôi represents Vietnam at Silk Way Star 2026

Vietnamese singer Đăng Khôi has officially entered the Silk Way Star 2026 international music competition. As the sole representative from Vietnam, he is competing alongside 11 artists from countries including China, Kazakhstan, Russia, Brazil, Serbia, South Africa, New Zealand, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, and Turkey.

During the premiere episode, titled ‘Introduce Voice,’ Đăng Khôi chose to perform his latest original composition, ‘Khi Con Gọi Là Ba’ (When a Child Calls Him Father), rather than performing his previous hits. He stated that he wanted to use music to tell a sincere story about family, noting that ‘family love is a common language that anyone can understand and empathize with,’ regardless of their country.

Đăng Khôi faced significant logistical challenges, having only seven days to prepare ten different performances before traveling to China. His preparation included song production, rehearsals, costume tailoring, and language study.
