Singer Nico Santos trapped in hotel elevator during video shoot

Singer Nico Santos reported being briefly trapped in a hotel elevator with dancers during a music video shoot. The incident occurred after a dance scene was completed, at which point the elevator doors failed to open.

Speaking on the podcast ‘Mit den Waffeln einer Frau’ with host Barbara Schöneberger, the 33-year-old singer described experiencing anxiety during the ordeal. Santos noted that the group had been filming while the elevator was in operation, but had to stop periodically to avoid interfering with hotel guests. After the dance concluded, the group waited approximately five minutes for the doors to be opened via a small gap in the elevator.

Santos, whose real name is Nico Wellenbrink, stated that the experience made him realize he has a fear of enclosed spaces. The singer recently released his new double album, ‘POV’, which features 18 songs, and is currently on tour.
