Singer Nisar Wayanad dies in Dubai at age 44

Indian singer Nisar Wayanad, known for his resemblance to Bollywood singer Udit Narayan, died at age 44 at a hospital in Dubai on Saturday, September 5. His death occurred just hours before a scheduled musical performance in Ajman.

Nisar, whose legal name was Nissar Aroth Ibrahim, was originally from the Wayanad district in Kerala. He had traveled to the United Arab Emirates in August for a series of musical programs, which were also intended to include performances in Saudi Arabia.

Medical reports indicate that the cause of death was acidosis, resulting from a systemic inflammatory response syndrome of infectious origin with organ failure. Septicemia was also cited as an underlying cause. Nisar had been admitted to the hospital after suffering from a high fever.

He was a performer of Mappilapattu and had appeared in several Mappila song albums. He is survived by his mother, wife, two daughters, and three siblings.
