Singer Phan Như Thùy discusses career crisis and musical evolution

Singer Phan Như Thùy recently shared her professional journey on the program ‘Kỷ niệm thanh xuân’. She rose to prominence with the song ‘Nổi gió’, a Vietnamese version of a Chinese track with lyrics by songwriter Nguyễn Văn Chung, which has amassed 3 billion views across various platforms.

Thùy reflected on her early career, noting that winning a children's singing competition at age seven led to an initial sense of disillusionment when fame did not immediately follow. Despite graduating with honors from the Military School of Culture and Arts, she experienced a severe professional crisis after realizing her technical training lacked the emotional depth required to connect with audiences.

To overcome this, she decided to restart her vocal training from scratch, focusing on a more free and expressive style. She is currently working to improve her dance skills to become a versatile performing artist.
