Singer Phuong Mai releases new music video celebrating motherhood

Singer and Lieutenant Colonel Phuong Mai, Head of the Vocal Music Department at the Military University of Culture and Arts, has released a new music video titled ‘Lời yêu cho con’ (A Love Word for My Child). The project, released to commemorate Vietnamese Women’s Day on October 20, explores the theme of maternal love through a blend of classical soprano technique and pop elements.

The song was composed by musician Duc Trinh. During the launch event, Duc Trinh noted that the song was written with subtle meanings for mothers and sons, and praised Phuong Mai’s artistic maturity and technical growth.

Music experts and mentors, including NSND Ha Thuy and NSUT Lan Anh, highlighted Phuong Mai’s unique soprano voice and her ability to combine technical vocal skill with deep emotion. Her musical background includes advanced studies in Russia and recognition in international competitions, including a second-place finish in Poland.
