Singer Rebeca updates health status of father after serious complications

Portuguese singer Rebeca has provided an update on the health of her father, Joaquim Henriques, following a period of severe medical complications. After undergoing two surgeries for a herniated disc in June, Henriques contracted a hospital-acquired bacterium that led to serious septicemia.

Following intensive care at the Hospital de Santa Maria in Lisbon, Henriques has been transferred to the Hospital das Caldas da Rainha to be closer to his family. Rebeca described the recent months as an “exigent combat” and praised her father’s resilience during the recovery process.
