Singer Rony Ribeiro competes for Barretos festival slot

Singer Rony Ribeiro is competing in a popular vote to secure a performance slot at the Festa do Peão de Barretos, one of Brazil’s largest sertanejo music festivals. Ribeiro, a Minas Gerais native with nearly 20 years of career experience, is one of 15 artists selected for the competition.

The contest is promoted by the duo Munhoz & Mariano. The winner will not only perform on the festival's main stage, which begins on August 20 in São Paulo, but will also record a song in partnership with the duo. Voting is conducted online and is scheduled to conclude on Sunday, August 16.
