Singer Sarah Engels reflects on intense career and family life

Singer Sarah Engels has shared insights into her recent professional and personal life following a demanding period. In an interview with RTL, the 34-year-old musician reflected on a highly intensive year that included preparations for and participation in the Eurovision Song Contest, followed immediately by a starring role as Satine in the musical “Moulin Rouge!”.

Engels noted that the workload was so significant that it took several weeks to process the experience. She also addressed her family dynamics, stating that due to differing schedules, it is rare for her, her husband Julian Engels, and their two children to eat meals together. She described the difficulty of coordinating meal times and food preferences, though she noted that the family still gathers regularly for activities like baking.

Additionally, Engels is participating in a charity campaign in Cologne. In collaboration with L'Osteria, she developed a special pizza to benefit the Tribute to Bambi Foundation and kinderherzen e. V. Customers can choose to donate one euro when ordering the dish, which is available until December 29.
