Singer Szolnoki Zsófia Sára Survives 25-Minute Cardiac Arrest on Stage

On June 5, Hungarian singer Szolnoki Zsófia Sára collapsed during a performance at Budapest Park while opening for the band Elefánt. After two minutes of playing, she suffered a sudden cardiac arrest and was unconscious for about 25 minutes. On‑site medical staff began CPR and paramedics continued life‑saving measures before transporting her to hospital.

Doctors identified an inherited heart condition that had previously gone undetected. She received an implantable cardioverter defibrillator to monitor her heart rhythm. Szolnoki Sára has spoken publicly for the first time about the incident, thanking the rescuers and stating she intends to continue her music career despite the ordeal.
