Singer Tank faces health concerns following organ transplant
Taiwanese singer Tank (Lu Jianzhong) has sparked health concerns among fans following recent performance footage showing visible physical distress. After undergoing a rare simultaneous heart and liver transplant at the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine in late 2024, Tank had publicly announced a successful recovery in early 2025.
However, recent videos from commercial performances show the singer with significant facial swelling, severe redness in his left eye, and frequent coughing. Some observers noted that he appeared to use pre-recorded vocals for certain song segments, leading to speculation among fans regarding potential organ rejection or side effects from long-term immunosuppressant medication.
Tank has a history of battling hereditary hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and liver failure, which previously caused him to lose significant weight. While he has expressed gratitude for his second chance at life, his current physical condition has prompted calls from supporters for him to prioritize rest.
