Singer Yang Hee-eun reveals recent cancer and corneal transplant surgeries

South Korean singer Yang Hee-eun has revealed that she underwent cancer surgery in April, followed by a corneal transplant in June. The news was shared during an appearance on comedian Kim Young-chul’s YouTube channel.

This marks a significant health challenge for the veteran singer, who previously survived terminal ovarian cancer in her early 30s. While she has not disclosed the specific type or location of the recent cancer, she mentioned finding strength through support from fellow entertainer Park Mi-sun, who is also recovering from breast cancer surgery.

Yang had previously informed fans about her corneal transplant in June, which required her to take a temporary break from her radio program. The recent revelation clarifies the timeline of her recent medical procedures and her ongoing recovery process.
