Singer Yuho Yoshioka comes out as gay

Japanese singer Yuho Yoshioka has publicly shared that he is gay via social media. In a post shared on October 27, the 40-year-old artist explained that he had struggled with his identity since childhood, often feeling unable to express his true self.

Yoshioka noted that while he previously avoided themes related to LGBTQ+ topics, such as the musical ‘RENT’, meeting his current partner four years ago helped him begin to accept himself. He stated that he felt it was finally the right time to be open about his life and expressed a desire to live authentically moving forward.

Yoshioka is a prominent vocalist who has performed as a backup singer for major artists including MISIA and Toshinobu Kubota. His recent work includes the Japanese dub for the Disney film ‘Wish’ and his current involvement in the musical ‘RENT’.
