Singers Emir Habibović and Tamara Selimović marry in Bar mosque

Folk singers Emir Habibović and Tamara Selimović have married in a Sharia ceremony at a mosque in Bar. The couple, who are expecting their third child, chose the religious ceremony for its spiritual significance, with plans to hold a civil wedding following the birth.

Tamara Selimović, who was previously Orthodox, has converted to Islam. The couple has two daughters and is currently expecting a son. Habibović, a prominent figure in folk music known for his popularity in Serbia, Montenegro, and Bosnia and Herzegovina, addressed rumors regarding his influence on Selimović’s career. He stated that while he does not forbid her from singing, he offers advice regarding the challenges of balancing a music career with motherhood in the current industry.
