Singida Black Stars advance to CAF Confederation Cup group stage

Singida Black Stars secured a place in the 2026/27 CAF Confederation Cup group stage following a 1-1 draw against Kenya's Tusker FC at the Azam Complex in Dar es Salaam. The result gives the Tanzanian side a 2-1 aggregate victory after their 1-0 win in the first leg in Nairobi.

Jonathan Sowah scored for Singida in the 68th minute after receiving a cross from Jeancy Mboma. Tusker FC, the 12-time Kenyan champions, managed to equalize late in the match through Nigerian striker Victor Mbaoma, but the comeback was insufficient to overturn the aggregate deficit.

This marks the second consecutive season that Singida Black Stars will compete in the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup. They join three other Tanzanian teams representing the country in CAF club competitions this season.
