Singkawang Airport to resume flights on October 1
Singkawang Airport in West Kalimantan is set to resume flight operations on October 1, 2026, following a month-long disruption caused by haze from forest and land fires.
Airport Service Unit Head Ilham Hafizi stated that the decision to reopen follows improvements in air quality and visibility, which now meet aviation safety requirements according to monitoring by the BMKG.
Flight schedules will return to the regular frequency of two flights per day. TransNusa is scheduled to depart at 13:55 WIB, while Super Air Jet will depart at 14:40 WIB. Both airlines will continue to serve the Singkawang-Jakarta and Jakarta-Singkawang routes.
